We celebrated with Fish & Chips and a bottle of bubbly!
This past year has quite possibly been the busiest we've had in the 8 years we've been together. A lot of huge things happened to us.
We are very house proud and have spent a fair bit of time over the past year redecorating, improving and adding to our home. We moved in with no furniture and agreed to only add things when we found an item we really loved and was exactly what we were looking for, rather than our previous mad dashes to Ikea resulting in a muddle of bits and pieces we used but didn't really like. We still have a little way to go, but I'm thoroughly enjoying the whole process.
We also had a little event in April. We tied the knot!
Needless to say, this was a pretty big thing for us. Although it initially felt as if nothing had really changed, it was actually around the six month anniversary mark when I really started to feel 'married' and to understand our little partnership. It's brilliant and we're chuffed!
Living in London and having so much on our doorstep, we threw ourselves head first into the Olympic experience. Not least because my parents were Olympic Ambassadors and staying with us during the first week. We were lucky enough to get tickets for both an Olympic and Paralympic event and the experience was fantastic. London felt entirely different and absolutely alive!
Thread & Ginger was born. Setting up my own little budding business has been something I've been longing to do for some time and have always felt I needed to do.
Now it's underway I feel in my element and can't wait to develop new products to launch in the New Year.
I am very lucky to have such supportive friends, family and of course husband, to enable me to push this forward.
And now we are gearing up for our first real festive season in our little home. We are having so much fun deciding where to put our decorations and can't wait to host our friends and family throughout December. This, unsurprisingly, is my favourite time of year.
Here's to another spectacular year!
