A little place to write about my thoughts, musings and latest movements, as well as letting you know about new creations being added to the shop.
It would be fair to say that the process I'm currently embarking on is new, exciting and, if I'm honest, a little nerve wracking.
It has long been known that I am a creative lady who cannot be content unless I have a project of some sort on the go, whether it be the various items I made for our wedding last year, creating little bits for our new home or making Christmas decorations for both myself and as gifts.
So, I cannot imagine it came as much of a surprise to my friends & family when I finally took the plunge and jumped into the world of making and selling my creations.
Thread & Ginger is now up and running and already taking orders.
I have chosen to start with Christmas wreaths. This is partly because I was designing one for our own front door and realised it was getting some blush-inducing compliments from others, and partly because it's the perfect time of year to indulge in a little festive fun. As I write this I have popped Bob Dylan's 'Christmas in the Heart' on and feel like a mulled wine would go down a treat.
Please do head over to my Folksy shop to peruse my festive door adornments - they are very lovingly and carefully handmade and would be a perfect treat to yourself or a colourful festive gift for a friend or family member. I have designed them to ensure they will work both on an outside door to greet Christmas guest, or hung on a lounge or bedroom door to warm up your home this winter.
This is just the beginning for Thread & Ginger so keep your eyes peeled for another wreath design coming soon, and also for all-year-round home decor arriving in the New Year.
